Factum, an Asia and Asia-Pacific focused think-tank on International Relations, conducted an orientation on Sri Lanka’s foreign policy for students from Yunnan University, China at the University of Colombo on November 9.
The session was conducted by Factum’s Co-Founder Omar Rajarathnam and Chief Analyst – International Relations Uditha Devapriya.
The discussion entailed analysis on China, India, and US relations with Sri Lanka and explored contemporary ways of expanding ties as the big powers seek to cement their presence in Sri Lanka.
The students are conducting research on Sri Lanka with the facilitation of the Department of International Relations at the University of Colombo, under its Head Professor Chaminda Padmakumara.
