Omar is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Factum. He is a communications and digital outreach professional specializing in defense and public diplomacy posturing, and helps strengthen the rapid response support of the Transparency International Chapters in Asia and Asia-Pacific and multiple USAID projects. He was previously the Head of Information/Communications at the US Embassy to Sri Lanka and the Maldives. His experience includes designing digital outreach strategies, managing crisis communications, and supporting counter-disinformation work in politically sensitive contexts. His work spans regional collaborations in South and Southeast Asia, supporting open, secure, and informed public discourse.
